2lb          Minced Lamb
3                     Onions
2             Cloves of garlic
2                     Peppers – one red one green
3/4lb      Mushrooms
3                     Tins of Chopped Tomato
Tomato Puree
Rosemary                (optional)
Marjoram/Oregano
Bay Leaf
Salt
Pepper
Worcester Sauce
Mushroom Sauce
Anything else you fancy – a small bit of chilli powder, some paprika

Heat some oil or butter in a large pan. Chop the onions & mushrooms & Garlic & add to pan Shove a lid on the pan, reduce the heat a little and leave for 5 mins – shuffle the pan occasionally.After approx 5 mins, use a slotted spoon to remove the veg to a bowl. Plonk the mince in the pan and brown off. When brown, remove from pan with a slotted spoon, to leave the fat. Drain the fat off. Replace the meat and onion/mushrooms garlic. Open the toms and add. Return pan to heat, turn heat very low and allow to simmer. Throw in the chopped peppers. Squirt in the tomato puree, about a tablespoon or two. Splash in some Worcester Sauce, mushroom sauce etc if required. Sprinkle on the herbs Season to taste Leave to simmer for – well anything from ¾ hr to 2 hours. Best made the day before to allow for flavours to be absorbed.

Serve:-

Re-heat the mix for at least ½ hr, then leave a serving spoon/ladle somewhere near it and shout that food is ready.

Bread /Garlic Bread

Veggie Option:

Some Broccoli or such like
